What it changes, and what it doesn't
What it changes: the site exists because of the commission, and the two products it reviews are the ones the partner sells. A commission is a reason to want you to click, and you should weigh the pages with that in mind.
What it does not change: the specifications, prices and limits we print are the seller's figures with a read date, and the arithmetic is shown so you can check it. We state where a unit falls short, for example that neither unit is a whole-home system and that the seller's pages contradict themselves on some figures. We found no independent test of the 3300's EMP feature and say so. We do not state that a price is the best available, and we publish no testimonials. We ran no tests of our own.
Link types and tagging
Buttons, boxes and text links to My Patriot Supply are partner links. Each carries a tag that identifies this site to the seller so a purchase can be credited to it. The tag sits in a link that starts on this site, and your browser is passed on to the seller. The pop-up that can appear when you move to leave a page uses the same kind of link, with its own tag. Links to government sources and other public references are not partner links and earn nothing.
